Nick Stellino’s Italian Desserts—Our Gift to You!

Nick Stellino
Like every enthusiastic baker we know, we at C&H Sugar love collecting and sharing our favorite recipes. So when celebrity chef Nick Stellino, host of public television’s Nick Stellino’s Family Kitchen, offered to share some of his greatest hits, we naturally were thrilled.
In a new booklet just for C&H Sugar customers, “Sweet Secrets,” Nick shares ten recipes along with insider tips that will help you add exciting creativity to your baking repertoire.
Nick’s recipes evoke his native Italy while inspiring us to try new things—for example, vinegar for dessert. “Strawberries Balsamico is a wonderfully seductive dessert that delivers great satisfaction,” Nick says. He adds, “Balsamic vinegar for dessert is a hidden treasure.”
Other recipes combine more familiar flavors in spectacular ways. In Nick’s Apple Tart, apples, butter, and C&H Pure Cane Granulated Sugar are baked to sweet perfection over puff pastry. Chocolate Zabaglione, a classic Italian custard, is a rich and heavenly blend of chocolate, egg yolks, sugar, and cream.
“These recipes are easy to approach,” says Nick. “They focus on the delights of sharing something delicious.” Special “chef’s tips” help you add pizzazz to every presentation.
Look for Nick Stellino’s “Sweet Secrets” brochure coming this summer, offered with every purchase of four- and five-pound bags of C&H Sugar. Also, be on the look out for an upcoming, exciting sweepstakes that will allow you and your friends to spend time with Nick and learn his secrets firsthand.
